This role will see the successful candidate making their mark in the maritime industry within a leading business in their field.
The sales manager will be responsible for identifying and winning new business as well using a methodical approach to discover ways in which to increase existing customer spend and recover previous/lapsed business. You must be well versed and diligent in making and maintaining ongoing sales and display an unwavering winner’s spirit of fortitude and confidence. This is a key appointment moving forward and you must use your skills and experience to inspire, mentor and develop junior members of the team, to create a successful and high-performing environment.
You must have experience of selling into the maritime/shipping/offshore industry and will ideally have experience of selling high value engineering products, services and solutions. An engineering appreciation is also an advantage. Also required is someone decisive and fast-acting, who can take initiative to solve any issues raised, professionally and competently, taking full responsibility for the satisfaction of their clients.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record of selling and managing sales teams within the maritime/shipping industry, or a proven sales leader who is hungry to develop within a larger company.
